|B||7||72||9||06.82||Air Suspension B10M|
On B10M buses with chassis number from 3036, a simpler type of compressed-air connection has been introduced for the air bellows. This means that the connecting union and inner sealing washer have been excluded. The new retaining bolt has a thread which fits the compressed-air connection (see fig. below).
This simpler connection can also be introduced on earlier buses by following the instructions overleaf.
Remove the front and rear air bellows according to the instructions in Service Manual, Section 7, B10M, page 26. With replacement of the compressed-air connections for the two rear bellows on bus rear suspension, remove the upper attachment plates for the bellows. Remove the nipple, nut and retaining bolt in that order and replace with the new parts. The new parts are illustrated below. Mount the attachment plates and air bellows. Upon completion of the replacement, check and if necessary adjust the height of the bellows according to the instructions given in Service Manual, Section 7, B10M, page 26.
